About CoolSculpting

Body-Shaping Without Surgery or Downtime

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical, FDA-cleared, fat-freezing procedure, using controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat from problem areas of your body. This fat-reduction treatment has proven, noticeable results that are long lasting, giving you the reformed body-shape you so desire.

Since it is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure, there is no need for needles or anesthesia. Downtime is also minimal, and patient satisfaction is high.

How Does It Work?

CoolSculpting’s controlled cooling technology allows for treatments to be applied safely, precisely, gently, and effectively.

During treatment:
Fat cells are targeted underneath the skin without affecting the skin itself.

After treatment:
Treated fat cells crystalize (freeze) and die off, leaving the body through the body’s natural elimination process.

Patients may start to see changes as quickly as 3 weeks after treatment, and experience more dramatic results within 2 months after treatment.
Results are long term, and the treated fat cells are gone for good.

You end up with a more sculpted you!

What Areas Can be Treated with CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared to treat fat bulges in the submental area, thigh, abdomen and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (banana roll), and upper arms.

Is it Safe?

CoolSculpting is a safe procedure. The equipment itself, the CoolSculpting controlled cooling device, is designed with built-in safety measures. If the sensors detect that the skin is getting too cold, the system will turn off automatically.

Our clinicians also undergo in-depth training and certification to ensure your safety. Treatments are performed in a medical office under the supervision of a licensed professional to guarantee the highest standards of care.

How Do You Get Started?

Your first step is to schedule a consultation. During your consultation, you will meet with the clinician to discuss your body-shaping goals–view your body from different angles, and assess where you most want to eliminate fat.

Your clinician will then develop a treatment plan tailored to meet your specific goals. With your goals in mind, your clinician may design a treatment plan that either uses one or more applicators to help you achieve your desired results. The clinician will also determine how many treatments you may need for your specific body-shaping goals. Since everyone’s body is different, no two treatment plans are alike, but rather they are very personalized.

What Happens on Treatment Day?

On treatment day, the clinician will take you into a treatment room and have you lay down on the treatment table. A gel pad and CoolSculpting applicator is securely positioned to the treatment area and controlled cooling is delivered to the targeted fat. The procedure may take 30 to 60 minutes–it all depends on the area being treated. While you wait, you may read or take a nap.

What Does CoolSculpting Feel Like?

During your treatment, you may feel intense cold at first, but that feeling usually subsides within 5 to 10 minutes as the area numbs. After that you may feel some pulling, tugging and/or mild pinching, as the applicator draws the fatty tissue into the applicator cup much like the suction from a vacuum.

Is There Downtime?

Since CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure, there is little to no downtime. Many patients return to work or other normal, daily activities the same day.
